If the property has an existing pool and/or spa, the tenants must ensure that gates and doors giving access to a pool are kept securely closed at all times when they are not in use. They should also ensure there are no climbable objects such as pot plants or loose outdoor furniture that would allow children access to the pool.
For non-shared pools, tenants will be provided with a copy of the current pool safety certificate. For shared pools, the safety certificate will be conspicuously displayed near the main entrance to the property or at a gate accessing the pool.
No temporary pools are allowed, as per legislation for residential tenancies in QLD.
