By Jamie Hatch

If you’re thinking about renovating or are looking to spice up your home decor in the new year ahead, stay relevant and consider incorporating the new colour trends of 2020.

Pantone, the company who forecasts colour trends recently announced Classic Blue as the Colour of the Year for 2020. They describe the colour as “a reassuring presence instilling calm, confidence and connection”. The colour highlights a sense of comfort in a home, with Interior designer Caitlin Murray believing that “any space can benefit with a pop of this primary hue”. The Classic Blue can be used in a variety of ways, whether it be your living room sofa, to paint on the wall, kitchen bench tops or bathroom cabinets – the colour is “a dependable and stable foundation from which to build” Pantone says.
