My lease is ending. How do I prepare to vacate?

Vacating can be a stressful time and we want to make the transition as smooth and easy as possible for you! Please see helpful tips and recommended tradespeople below.

Bond Cleaning:

Engaging a quality bond cleaner will ensure good results. The cheapest quote will often lead to you paying for the job twice.

Carpets must be cleaned to a professional standard, as per your lease agreement.

NBN Service:

If NBN is installed, please ensure the black NBN box and cords are left at the property.

Key Return:

Keys cannot be left at the property and must be returned to our office on, or before, your vacate date in a clearly labelled envelope with any receipts for bond, carpet cleaning and/or pest control.  

Bond Return:

The vacate inspection will be completed once you return the keys.

The exit report will be provided to you, with any items that need to be rectified.

All cleaning must be completed, rent must be paid up to the vacate/lease end date and all invoices must be paid before the bond can be released.

You will receive an email from the RTA once the bond has been released/claimed. All bond holders will need to provide their bank details for any refund.
