History..
After being part of farmland since 1865 with multiple owners, a subdivision made this land part of the Burwood Estate (1890). The parcel of land on this gentle Northern slope on one of the rises in Kedron was purchased in 1909 for the Pill Family who were long associates with Kedron's major industries being tanning of skins, supplying leather for shoe manufacture and other leather based products. 1917 saw the construction of this majestic Federation Queenslander. Sold by Stephen Pill (senior)'s widow in 1950. The home was repurchased by Stephen Pill (junior) & Son in 1951 owning the property till 1966 when Johnson and Sons P/L purchased the Cornwall Tannery which included the Pill Residence (12 Childers Street, Kedron). Since then it has had a further 6 owners the last ensuring the resurrection of the home to former glory.
